Privacy for local use and optional iCloud sync.

Klippy is designed to work on your device. The history of what you copy stays on your device, and we never see it. There's no account to create and no Klippy server — we don't collect, transmit, or profile what you copy.

Klippy offers optional iCloud sync. If you turn it on, your clips sync across your Apple devices through your own private iCloud, tied to your Apple ID and readable only by you. They live in Apple's iCloud, not with us — even with sync on, the developer can't read your clips.

The Klippy keyboard on iPhone and iPad can ask for "Full Access." It needs that only so it can read the clips already saved on your device, so you can paste them — iOS requires Full Access for a keyboard to reach that shared storage. The keyboard does not log your keystrokes and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

Content that other apps mark as sensitive — like a password copied from a password manager — is never saved.

We don't sell your personal information, we don't use advertising trackers, and we never use your data for data brokerage.

If you email support, we use what you send only to respond and help with your request.
